Biaggi's with the Girls

The girls and I were out shopping today and running errands and we found ourselves having dinner at Biaggi's and boy was it good ... too bad daddy was out of town and couldn't join us this time!

Halloween 2015

The girls dressed up in the Halloween costumes for school today and it also was the big celebration party for a successful Read-A-Thon this year.  Madison's name was drawn to throw a pie in the face of one of the teachers!  She was a little nervous to go in front of everyone but she said she really creamed the teachers face with the pie!

Here are the girls all dressed up with full make up for tonight's trick-or-treating.  This is the first year that the girls will not go together and it makes me a little sad to be honest.  Alyssa will be joining some friends in another neighborhood and Madison will be having her friend Michael over here in our neighborhood and then to hang out a bit afterwards.

Carving Pumpkins

Since Halloween is only two sleeps away, we decided we better get our pumpkins carved tonight.

They both worked really hard using the small saws to cut out their pictures and only need minimal help from mommy.  Just look at the concentration on those faces!

The finished products turned out pretty good ... at least we were happy with them!!

Goosebumps Movie

The girls and I saw the Goosebumps movie today and they loved it and I even enjoyed it more than I thought I would.  We finished up the afternoon by stopping by Barnes & Noble and picking out a Goosebumps storybook to take home with us!

Indoor Camping

Just for something different ... we are indoor camping tonight ... I think we need more stuffed animals though ...

Scary Cakes and Valley Scare 2015

Today we got together with Tammy and the boys to make our annual Halloween cakes.  The kids had fun decorating their cakes and were really proud of their results!

After making cakes, we headed to Valley Scare for some afternoon tricks and treats, a few rides and a demonstration on applying Halloween make up.

As usual, we had a great time and even posed with Snoopy in record time with four kiddos smiling and looking at the camera!

Tammy and I nearly peed our pants when the kiddos got in front of the shrinking mirror and broke out in a dance.  Totally made our day!

They really enjoyed the make up demonstration and we all got our VIP Valley Scare winter hats for stopping in that day!!

Great River Road & A Visit with Granny B

Today we cashed in on Sherrin's birthday present to the girls.  She bought us a tankful of gasoline for a road trip down the Great River Road to see the fall colors and boy was it an enjoyable ride although I do not think that part of the adventure captivated the girls as much as the rest of the day.

We stopped for a bathroom break and ended up with gigantic caramel apples for a sweet treat in the car.

Our adventure ended up with us arriving in La Crosse to pop in on Granny B!  The five of us went to lunch at the Hungry Peddler (surprise not breakfast this time)!  The girls got to show Sherrin some of our favorite things in La Crosse with Granny B at the top of that list!

We also took Sherrin to the top of Grandad's Bluff to enjoy the beautiful views of La Crosse.

The girls found a wholly bear caterpillar and carried it around with them while on the bluff before letting him go again in the vegetation ... no we did not leave him on the sidewalk!
