Playing at the Mall

Daddy needed to get an eye exam and new glasses made today, so mommy and the girls went along for the ride and spent our time at the indoor soft play area at the mall. The girls had a great time climbing and running around with the other children.

We capped our afternoon off by going shoe shopping!! Yes, even at age four, our girls know that you can never have too many shoes!!! Our mission today though was function ... and each girl received new sneakers complete with flashing lights and jewels ... what a long way sneakers have come since mommy was a kid!

Happy Valentine's Day & A Visit With Granny B

We decided to spend the Valentine's Day weekend visting Granny B in Wisconsin. Mommy, Daddy and the girls loaded up Whitey (our beloved Buick that was owned by Papa M) and headed out for a very cramped three hour ride WITHOUT our video system as Whitey's cigarette lighter outlet no longer seems to work ... *sigh* Maggie, our main car, was in the shop for some body work and repairs and boy did we realize how much we missed our beloved Maggie after this trip.

We had a wonderful visit with Granny and stayed with her for two nights. We all went out for breakfast and did a bit of shopping on Saturday and we even managed to visit Papa B's resting place and leave some spring flowers for him.

We can't wait to head back over to Granny's place again soon ... we always enjoy every minute of our visit when we are there!!

Dance Lessons Begin!!

The girls started dance lessons tonight and were super excited to find out the lessons would be taught by Lori (a close family friend who is a dancer) and that the class would include just them and their little friends Paige and Erin who are the daughters are another couple with whom we are good friends.

Lori and Terry recently finished building their home near Mankato and are in the process of making a dance studio in the unfinished basement.

We are proudly Lori's first class and hope that her branching out on her own will not lessen her desire for her own studio after trying to handle our girls as her first "students" ... stayed tuned for more developments ... :-)
