Girl Scouts ~ Daisy Scouts Planting Flowers

Tonight was the girls next to the last official Daisy Scout meeting before summer break and the big bridge crossing this fall to become Brownies.  In honor of earning all their Daisy petals over the past two years, the troop got together and planted flower pots full of flowers representing each petal they had earned.

The girls all had a good and messy time filling their pots full of blooming flowers.  Our meeting happened to land on one of the nice days (in between snow falls) we have had this spring.

Sushi Sunday ... Sadly No More ...

Daddy and I were hungry and sushi and it was Sunday and we know what that means in our family ... 1/2 price Sushi Sunday at Crave ... only it ended up being full price Sushi Sunday as their "special promotion" suddenly ended without warning ... sadly ...

But we were there and hungry and we ate anyway!  The girls even wanted to get in on the action and ordered a plate of avocado rolls (no fish) and enjoyed their "sushi" too!

At least the kids ate free ...

Now those are ART sets!

Aunt Carrie was out bargin shopping and found some super BIG art sets for the girls.  They now have enough art tools to last them the entire summer and the LOVED them!!!!

Jordan Egg Hunt

Today was the big Jordan Easter Egg Hunt (even though Easter was a week ago) and the weather was finally in the 50's and very enjoyable.  The girls and I met Tammy and the boys at the park.  I managed to get a picture of Christian and the girls waiting for their hunt to begin, but Heath was already off on his hunt and missed the picture.

All the kids got their limit on candy bags and each managed to find an egg to turn in for a nice prize.

We stayed and played at the park for a while and let the kids run in the fields, then we decided to head over to McDonald's for a little more play time at the indoor play area and lunch together.  It was nice to catch up with Tammy and the boys and a fun way to spend a Saturday morning!!!

A Trip to the Circus!

Tonight the girls and I plus two little friends jumped on the bus with some of the other Girl Scouts from Jordan and headed off to St. Paul to see the Osman Shrine Circus which was in town for 10 shows over the weekend.  We left Jordan about 6:15 pm and the kids seemed to think it was the longest bus ride ever (40 minutes) to get to our destination.  They got a little crazy on the bus at times trying to make the time go faster!

Alyssa invited her friend, Mia, to join her and the two sat together on the bus.

Madison invited her friend Tawnie to join us and they also shared a seat together.

All four girls were excited when we arrived at the arena and found our seats.   Madison's favorite act started out the night for us just right when the tigers entered the ring.  All the girls were breathless as the tigers jumped through a fire ring.

They laughed and laughed when the Osman Clowns entered the ring and they were a little bit afraid for the poor clown that was being put into the cannon to be shot at a target ... they were very relieved to find out the flat clown spot on the target after the boom was not really the clown at all!

The wheel walkers and the motor cyclists were some of the more fascinating events for the girls and they cheered and held clenched hands together waiting to see if everyone would be okay.

After enjoying the acts, slushies, popcorn, cotton candy and picking out souvenirs, everyone was tired and ready to get on the bus and head for home.  We didn't arrive back in Jordan until after 11 pm and all the girls fell sound asleep on the bus ride home ... excuse my face, it was hard holding two kids and a camera to get the picture!

All the girls had a great time and were very ready for their beds by they time I dropped everyone off at home!
